Derek will be honoured at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will be held from the 25th - 28th June. 2015 marks the 40th anniversary of the first of his five Le Mans 24 Hours wins, which came behind the wheel of the Gulf Mirage GR8.

Derek was relieved to hear that Mark Webber has escaped serious injury following a dramatic accident that ocurred during the last half hour of the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, the final race of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship season.

Hope For Tomorrow - Chemotherapy in the Community Week
Since Hope for Tomorrow, the national cancer charity dedicated to bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes, launched the world’s first Mobile Chemotherapy Unit in Gloucestershire in 2007, cancer patients across England have been saved from having to travel 500,000 miles for treatment.

Derek will drive a unique Bentley,‘Old Number One’, the winner of the 1930 Le Mans 24 hours race, in the Zoute Rally, part of the Zoute Grand Prix in Knokke-Heiswhich, Belgium, which runs from the 9th - 12th October 2014. Built in 1929, the Bentley has an interesting history.

Derek has been recently appointed as an ambassador for the Fly Navy Heritage Trust, the Royal Navy charity that raises money to keep the Royal Navy's rare and remarkable historic aircraft flying.
